Lunch

Today I learned at lunch. No really, I went to an all day department meeting in Rahway, NJ (1.8 hour drive each way) and the most information I learned was at lunch. I talked with two people in our department from Poland and China and we discussed the differences in (post) communist culture, and truth of the 'American Dream'. We may forget or just not realize how truly we can make our own path in life, and it doesn't depend on our parents, our class, or our bribing power. It depends on hard work and drive and education. And we also got to discuss the difference (lack) of a healthcare system and how differently 'prescription' drugs work in China. Interesting stuff.
