Today I learned that the names Joseph, Vincent, and Salvatore are token Italian names.
At work, there's a whiteboard with everyone's initials on it so that people can sign in/out of buildings to keep track for fire procedures. A few of us were discussing middle names while signing back in together, and my co-worker Joseph's initials are "JSP." When he said, without skipping a beat, that his middle name was Salvatore, the rest of us burst out laughing (he's generally sarcastic, so no one believed him) ... but, he is apparently really Italian, and Joseph, Vincent, and Salvatore are the most common male Italian names. Who knew?
