Dryer Sheets

Today I learned that dryer sheets coat your clothing in fatty acids (possibly from animals) to make them feel soft.

  1. Yep, apparently they tweak the fatty acids so that they have a higher melting point than room temperature, but then when you place them in the dryer they melt and coat your clothes.

    Oh the joys of Orgo 2.
